Back in Action
Hey guys so I’m back in action. The school year has started and it’s my senior year. I’ve started a couple new things. 1) I’m marching in the Redcoat Band
2) Intro to ballroom dance class.
I’m adding a 5th year to my education, so my class load is not too bad. My Secondary practicum is about to start for school, and that should be a really good experience.

Tornado
So i have a class @ 2:00 in Aderhold. I walk to it on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Today, It happened to be a tsunami while walking there. It was pretty ridiculous. When i got to my Ed Psyc class Ryan, Michael and I were drenched. Then we had a tornado warning. We got up from our classes and went into the hall… Suprising no one was on the floor facing the wall with their hands over their heads. Instead they were calling people! hahah.
Mother Nature
So I was driving home today from Athens, GA, after painting my old apartment back to it’s original color, and cleaning it. I ran into one of the craziest thunderstorms I’ve ever seen. It lasted about 10 mins, and the maximum speed I was going was about 45 MPH. I stopped at a red light, and suddenly I heard a loud bang and crack!!!!! I flinched, when I looked around I noticed that there was sparks coming from the sky…. I knew that the lightning bolt had struck the electric pole. When I looked up at the lights, they were flashing red. I looked around, and drove off shocked. That lightning bolt could have struck my car. It was only like 15 ft away… That was pretty scary. That’s the closest that I’ve been to lightning… Here’s a video of the rain…

Another day, another dollar…
Ok, So my summer has consisted of work, sleep, eat, and get fat. I’ve been slave to a place called Ming Moon for more than a month now. Here is a pic.
The food here is great and I would say the service is great. But sometimes it gets too dang busy… But I’ve realized something that may help some people in the same situation. If I come to work with the right attitude, I seem to enjoy it better. If I think of my job as a way to serve people, and honor God, it makes it less miserable. I work the cash register, answer to-go orders, work the deep fryer, and occasionally make some tennis shoes in the back (Just kidding haha). Well today happened to be the day the deep fryer wanted to fry something more than chicken.
What degree burn do you think this is?
Yeah that’s what I get for grabbing the wrong tongs that happened to fall in the oil. (aprox. 325 degrees)
I realized shortly after how important your thumb really is… There’s a reason we have 5 fingers, not 6 or less… It was God’s plan. Getting this burn made me realize that I should be thankful for my good health among other things. 2 lesson’s in 1, not so bad after all.
